You2.0 is committed to protecting its visitors' and users' privacy.  This policy describes what information You 2.0 (hereafter You2.0, 'we' or 'us') collects and how it is used and shared while you use our website You2.0 (the 'Platform'), our mobile application (the 'App') or any of our services (the 'Services'). As you review our policy, keep in mind that it applies to all You 2.0 products that do not have a separate or specific privacy policy. Please review the following carefully so that you understand our privacy practices.

You 2.0 cares about the safety of children. Because the Services are not directed towards children under 14, they are not allowed to register with or use the Services, or provide personal data. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 14. 

 

I. WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT? 

Depending on which Services you use, we collect different kinds of information from or about you.

 

A. THINGS YOU DO AND INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE.

We collect the content and other information you provide when you use our Services, including when you sign up for an account, participate in our micro-activities, create or share, and message or communicate with others. This can include information in or about the content you provide, such as the location of a photo or the date a file was created. We also collect information about how you use our Services, such as the types of content you view or engage with or the frequency and duration of your activities.

 

B. THINGS OTHERS DO AND INFORMATION THEY PROVIDE.

We also collect content and information that other people provide when they use our Services, including information about you, such as when they share a photo of you, send a message to you, or upload, sync or import your contact information.

 

C. YOUR NETWORKS AND CONNECTIONS.

We collect information about the people, groups, or pools you are connected to and how you interact with them, such as the people you communicate with the most or the groups you like to share with. We also collect contact information you provide if you upload, sync or import this information (such as an address book) from a device.

 

D. INFORMATION ABOUT PAYMENTS.

If you use our Services for purchases or financial transactions, we use third party payment processing companies to process your payments. Although we collect information about the purchase or transaction, You 2.0 does not collect or store your credit or debit card number and other card information or account and authentication information.

 

E. DEVICE INFORMATION.

We collect information from or about the computers, phones, or other devices where you install our App or access our Services, depending on the permissions you’ve granted. We may associate the information we collect from your different devices, which helps us provide consistent Services across your devices. Here are some examples of the device information we collect:

- Attributes such as the operating system, hardware version, device settings, file and software names and types, battery and signal strength, and device identifiers.
 
- Device locations, including specific geographic locations, such as through GPS, Bluetooth, or WiFi signals.
 
- Connection information such as the name of your mobile operator or ISP, browser type, language and time zone, mobile phone number and IP address.

You can always remove our access using your mobile device.

 

F. INFORMATION FROM THIRD PARTY WEBSITES AND APPS THAT USE OUR SERVICES.

We collect information when you visit or use third-party websites and apps that use our Services. This includes information about the websites and apps you visit, your use of our Services on those websites and apps, as well as information the developer or publisher of the app or website provides to you or us.

 

G. INFORMATION FROM THIRD-PARTY PARTNERS.

We sometimes receive information about you and your activities on and off You 2.0 from third-party partners, such as information from a partner when we jointly offer services or from an advertiser about your experiences or interactions with them.

If you choose to connect your account on our Services to your account on another service, we may receive information from the other service. For example, if you connect to Facebook or Google, we may receive information like your name, profile picture, age range, language, email address, and friend list. You may also choose to grant us access to your exercise or activity data from another service. Again, you can stop sharing the information from the other service with us by removing our access to that other service.

We may partner with third parties, such as an insurance company that offers our services to their employees and customers. In cases like that, those companies may provide us with your name, email address, or similar information (like a telephone number or subscriber ID) so that we can invite you to participate or determine your eligibility for particular benefits, such as discounts or free services.

 

H. EXPERT SERVICES

You 2.0 will provide you with coaches and experts from time to time on our your wellness journey.  These services may be provided by third parties.  We collect information about the use of these services.  Information we may collect include but not limited to; your plan, goals, information submitted by you or the expert or coach.

I. HEALTH AND OTHER SPECIAL CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA

If you reside in the European Union, we collect health data or another special category of personal data subject to the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), we ask for your explicit consent to process the data.  This consent is gained when you take actions leading to our obtaining the data, such as, when you pair your device to your account, grant us access to your exercise or micro activity data from another service. You can use the account settings and tools to withdraw your consent at any time, including by stopping use of a feature, removing our access to a third-party service, unpairing your device, or deleting your data or your account.

 

II. HOW DO WE USE THIS INFORMATION?

We are passionate about creating engaging and customized experiences for people. We use all of the information we have to provide and support our Services. Here’s how:

 

A. TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL MANAGEMENT OF THE PLATFORM AND APP

When you visit our Platform, our website administrators process technical data such as your IP-address, visited You 2.0 webpages, the internet browser you use, and the duration of a visit/session to enable us to deliver the functionalities to our Services. In addition, in certain instances the app and/or browser may prompt you for your geo-location to allow us to provide you with an enhanced experience. With this technical data our website administrators can manage our Services, by resolving, for instance, technical difficulties or improving the accessibility of certain parts of our Services. This way, we ensure that you can (continue to) find the information on our Services in a quick, efficient and simple manner.

 If you use our experts and/or coaches, we use your information to connect you with the right expert and/or coach.  This way, the experts can provide you with a personal plan.

For this purpose we also use cookies. See below for our cookie policy. 

 When you use our App, we also process technical data such as your IP-address, Device ID or MAC-address, and information about the manufacturer, model, and operating system of your mobile device. We use this data to enable us to deliver the functionalities of the App, resolve technical difficulties, provide you with the correct and most up to date version of the App and to improve the function of the App.

 

B. CUSTOMER SERVICE

When you register as a user, we will collect identifying information such as your name, gender, date of birth, email address, country, language, password, mobile phone number, IP-address, and/or MAC-address. We also collect background information about you such as information about your interests and hobbies.

 

We will use your contact details to send you a welcoming email to verify that your email and password are associated with your account, to communicate with you in response to your inquiries, and to send you service-related announcements such as, if our Service is temporarily suspended for maintenance. To promote safety and security, we will use your registration information to create and manage your You 2.0 account. Furthermore, we may deactivate your account if we suspect that you use our App to commit fraudulent or illegal acts or if you violate our terms of use.

 

C. PROVIDE, IMPROVE AND DEVELOP SERVICES.

We are able to deliver our Services, personalize content, and make suggestions for you by using this information to understand how you use and interact with our Services and the people or things you’re connected to and interested in on and off our Services. We also use information we have to provide shortcuts and suggestions to you. 

When we have location information, we may use it to tailor our Services for you and others.

We conduct surveys and research, test features in development, and analyze the information we have to evaluate and improve products and services, develop new products or features, and conduct internal reviews and troubleshooting activities.

 

D. COMMUNICATE WITH YOU.

We use your information to send you marketing communications, communicate with you about our Services and let you know about our policies and terms. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.

 

E. PROCESSING PAYMENTS

When you register as a User, you provide your credit card information directly to our payment processing provider as identified above in order to process payments for your requests.

 

F. SHOW AND MEASURE ADS AND SERVICES.

We use the information we have to improve our advertising and measurement systems so we can show you relevant ads on and off our Services and measure the effectiveness and reach of ads and services.

 

G. PROMOTE SAFETY AND SECURITY.

We use the information we have to help verify accounts and activity, and to promote safety and security on and off of our Services, such as by investigating suspicious activity or violations of our terms or policies. We work hard to protect your account using advanced technology such as automated systems, encryption and machine learning.

 

H. REFERRAL

If you choose to use our referral feature in the App or Platform to tell a friend about our Service, you will be prompted to enter your friend’s email address or mobile phone number or log into your preferred social network. If you elect to refer a friend, we will automatically populate a message for you to send to your friend inviting him or her to try the Service on your behalf. However, the actual message will be sent via your mobile device or social network and you will be able to edit the final message before you send it. We do not store your friend’s data.

 

I. ADMINISTRATING PUBLIC FORUMS

The Platform and the App may offer publicly accessible blogs and community forums. We will use your personal data such as your name, email address, the messages or content you choose to post to administrate and provide you with these services. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. III. HOW IS THIS INFORMATION SHARED?

 

People use our Services to connect and share certain information with others. We make this possible by sharing your information in the following ways:

 

A. PEOPLE YOU SHARE AND COMMUNICATE WITH.

Public information is any information you share with a public audience, as well as information in your public profile, or content you share on a You 2.0 forum or another public forum. Public information is available to anyone on or off our Services and can be seen or accessed through online search engines, APIs, and offline media. In some cases, the people you share and communicate with may download or re-share this content with others on and off our Services.

 

B. PEOPLE THAT SEE CONTENT OTHERS SHARE ABOUT YOU.

Other people may use our Services to share content about you with the audience they choose. For example, people may share information about you that you shared with them.

 

C. APPS, WEBSITES AND THIRD-PARTY INTEGRATIONS ON OR USING OUR SERVICES.
 

When you use third-party apps, websites or other services that use, or are integrated with, our Services, they may receive information about what you post or share.

We want our advertising to be as relevant and interesting as the other information you find on our Services. With this in mind, we use all of the information we have about you to show you relevant ads. We do not share information that personally identifies you (such as your name or email address that can be used to contact you or identify who you are) with advertising, measurement or analytics partners unless you give us permission. We may provide these partners with information about the reach and effectiveness of their advertising without providing information that personally identifies you, or if we have aggregated the information so that it does not personally identify you.
 

ii. Vendors, service providers and other partners.

We transfer information to vendors, service providers, and other partners who globally support our business, such as providing technical infrastructure services, analyzing how our Services are used, measuring the effectiveness of ads and services, providing customer service, facilitating payments, or conducting academic research and surveys.

 

IV. HOW CAN I MANAGE OR DELETE INFORMATION ABOUT ME?

 

We store data for as long as it is necessary to provide products and services to you and others, including those described above. Information associated with your account will be kept until your account is deleted, unless we no longer need the data to provide products and services.

 

You can deactivate your account any time by contacting us. However, when you deactivate your account, we may not delete your user data such as goals, wellness plan and measurement records, as well as things you have posted such as your comments, photos and messages. Keep in mind that information that others have shared about you is not part of your account and will not be removed when you deactivate your account.

 

If you reside within the  European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) and you wish to update, remove, or add to the information collected by our Website, you may submit your request to tech@besurancecorp.com with subject line “Privacy”.   Alternatively, if you only wish to view and update your own contact information held by the You 2.0 marketing team, you can do so by contacting tech@besurancecorp.com.

 

V. SECURITY

 

You 2.0 has taken appropriate technical and organizational security measures against loss or unlawful processing of your personal data. To this purpose, your personal data are securely stored within our database, and we use standard, industry-wide, commercially reasonable security practices such as encryption, firewalls and SSL (Secure Socket Layers) as well as physical safeguards of the locations where data are stored.

 

However, as effective as encryption technology is, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our database, nor can we guarantee that information you supply won’t be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet. Any transmission of information by you to You 2.0 is at your own risk. We recommend that you do not disclose your password to anyone.

 

VI. RETENTION

 

Unless specified otherwise in this Privacy Policy, we will retain your information until you cancel your You 2.0 account, or until your You 2.0 account has been inactive for a year. If you wish to cancel your You 2.0 account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, please contact us at support tech@besurancecorp.com. After deletion of your account we will anonymize your retained data, unless this data is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or resolve disputes.

 

VII. COOKIE POLICY
 

The Platform and App uses 'cookies.' A cookie is a small text file that we place on your computer or mobile device to enable various features of the Platform and App. You can change your cookie settings to accept or not accept cookies in your browser settings. The Platform uses the following cookie categories:

 

Essential: You 2.0 uses cookies necessary to enable or enhance certain functionality of the Platform and App, such as recalling your recent actions on the Platform and App or remembering your Platform and App settings. If you have cookies disabled in your browser, these cookies will be blocked.

 

Non-essential: You 2.0 uses Google Analytics'' cookies. If you have cookies disabled in your browser, these cookies will be blocked. Google Analytics is a web analysis service that is offered by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze the usage of the Platform and App by Users to give You 2.0 an insight in the way Users use the Platform and App. You can find more information on Google Analytics here.

 

VIII. YOUR RIGHTS

 

As a user, you have the right to information regarding your personal account, including information that you've provided to us. You may at any time request correction or erasure of your personal data and object to any processing of your personal data by emailing us at support tech@besurancecorp.com. We will respond to your access and/or correction request within four weeks. You may also amend your personal details and withdraw any given consent using your You 2.0 account.

 

IX. HOW DO WE RESPOND TO LEGAL REQUESTS OR PREVENT HARM?

 

We may access, preserve and share your information in response to a legal request (like a search warrant, court order or subpoena) if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. This may include responding to legal requests from jurisdictions outside of Canada where we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction, affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards. We may also access, preserve and share information when we have a good faith belief it is necessary to: detect, prevent and address fraud and other illegal activity; to protect ourselves, you and others, including as part of investigations; to prevent death or imminent bodily harm. For example, we may provide information to third-party partners about the reliability of your account to prevent fraud and abuse on and off of our Services. Information we receive about you, including financial transaction data related to purchases made with You 2.0, may be accessed, processed and retained for an extended period of time when it is the subject of a legal request or obligation, governmental investigation, or investigations concerning possible violations of our terms or policies, or otherwise to prevent harm. We also may retain information from accounts disabled due to violations of our terms for at least a year to prevent repeat abuse or other violations of our terms.

A. WE MAY AMEND THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT AND OTHER POLICIES WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION TO YOU.

C. YOUR CONTINUED USE OF YOU 2.0, FOLLOWING CHANGES TO OUR TERMS, POLICIES OR GUIDELINES, CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF OUR AMENDED TERMS, POLICIES OR GUIDELINES.
